“Less is More” Challenge

This week’s challenge at http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/ is a color challenge!  The colors are lime and black — while I have quite a bit of black in my craft supplies, the lime was much harder to come by!  I found some very neglected Pearlz Samrock Shimmer paint (http://www.shimmerzpaints.com) in my paint stash and decided to use it in making an embellishment!  I had some 6″ lace on a roll from http://www.papermart.com – which I painted, let dry,  and then die cut with Spellbinder’s Scalloped Dies in graduated sizes.  I sewed on a black button, filled the center of the button with black Enamel Accents and dropped in an acrylic bead in the center for interest.  The stamp is  from https://www.stampersbest.com/ French Lace set of borders.  The sentiment is from Hero Art’s Live Life sentiment set.

The cardstock is American Crafts 80lb textured solid core cardstock in white.  I cut the edge of the card with deckle edge scissors.
