Insomnia Leads to Watercoloring

What can I say?  It’s 1:26 a.m., and I’ve been trying to get to sleep since 10:30 p.m.! So, I thought, ‘what the heck, might as well get up and do a little watercoloring’ ….gotta create when the mood hits you, right?  Here is what I came up with….

I used Distress Inks to create the watercolor background, and I also used them as watercolor paints for the die cuts.  I then put some orange peel stickles on my fingertip and applied to the blossoms. They are beautifully glittery up close and personal. 🙂  I recently saw a Paper Crafts video on pleating ribbon, so I  pleated some orange gauze ribbon as an accent to help balance out all the flowery goodness on the left of the card.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts Big Hugs set.  I think I will enter it in the Moxie Fab Wonder of Watercolor. Just click the image below to be taken to the challenge – lot of fabulous entries so far!!!!

Moxie Fab World

Think I’ll fiddle around in my craft room a bit more until I get sleepy…
