Feeling a bit refreshed from my nap, I thought I would create a card inspired by the talented Jessica Witty, who demonstrated the layered stamped vellum technique in class (onlinecardclasses.com). My thought was to create the illusion of a field of flowers….did I succeed? You be the judge! 🙂
I stayed with the last color combination – using 2 shades of blue, shades of green, pink and white for this card. The flower image is Stampendous’s Ranunculus Field, which I stamped in the center of the 1st layer of vellum, then stamped again -offset to the left -on the second piece of vellum, and yet again, stamped -offset to the right – on the 3rd piece of vellum. I heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I added color to the image by coloring on the backside of the vellum – which helped to soften the colors a bit, and you don’t have to worry about getting colors on the embossed lines! lol I used Copics, but you could use Sharpies or any other alcohol based marker.
The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps Inside and Out Sayings set – it’s a great set! I heat embossed the greeting with Zing! Denim embossing powder.
I’m so looking forward to class tomorrow! 🙂 Can’t wait to see what this week holds in store for us! Hugs!
