Pain and a Plan

Hi all!  I am so sorry I have not been able to post anything before now.  About a week after my last post, i started having lumps appearing on my forearms, and while the lumps themselves didn’t hurt I had problems with the feeling and circulation in my hands — which made anything I did with my hands, painful! Ugh!  Most of you know that i suffer from Multiple Sclerosis,Mixed Connective Tissue disease, and Osteoarthritis — not to mention quite a few other related conditions.  Things have been pretty stable for the most part these past few years, which I am so grateful!  At any rate, I made appointments with all my specialists to see what the heck was going on.  I had things to do!  I wanted to participate in Tim Holtz’s Chemistry 2 class and the Holiday Card Workshop 2013 over at!

What I found out is a person can have carpal tunnel that ISN’T carpal tunnel!  Weird, right?  It’s called pseudo carpal tunnel syndrome (pseudo meaning fake or false).  What it boils down to is the osteoarthritis was involving not only the joints, but the soft tissue as well.  The prescribed treatment is working! Woohoo!!!! (Otherwise I wouldn’t be able to type this today!)  Unfortunately, I did not get to participate in Tim Holtz’s Chemistry 2 class — although I did watch all the videos and perused all the lovely creations of the students! I will experiment at a later date since I have lifetime access to the class.  I did, however, get to watch all the videos on the Holiday Card Workshop 2013, and although the class is offically over, I still made cards this weekend that I am now going to post!  So get ready for several more postings coming your way!!!! 🙂

Hugs to all! Stephanie

  1. Glad to hear you’re doing better! Looking forward to seeing all of your cards from the Holiday Card Workshop! Unfortunately with my last semester wrapping up, there’s no time for me to participate but from what you’ve shown already, I know I’m missing out on a lot of fun!

    • Thanks Molly! 🙂 I’m sure Industrial Engineering has got you swamped! My oldest son is a senior in Mechanical Engineering and he is super busy with projects this semester! He spends his weekends at the lab building robots! lol Take care!
